Charles R. Mitchell, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following a short illness. Per his wishes there will be no services at this time. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is caring for Charles and his family.

Charles was born June 8, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Gary Keith and Martina Faye (Springer) Mitchell. He was a graduate of Prairie Highschool in 1986. Charles worked construction for many years and was a millwright apprentice. He was most proud of being a pyrotechnician and roadie for his brother's band, Skin Kandy. Charles enjoyed working with his hands and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He loved the Hawkeyes and the Bills but would support the Vikings if needed.

Charles is survived by his mother Marti; brothers Troy (Tracie) Mitchell and Ken (Douglas) Springer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Gary and maternal and paternal grandparents.
