Carolyn Sue Shaddox, 64 of Solon, formerly of Cedar Rapids died Monday, August 6, 2007 at her home.  Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with Rev. William Harnish presiding.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.

Carolyn was born August 2, 1943 in Fort Madison, the daughter of Paul and Regina Baxter Horn.  She married James Douglas Shaddox on August 2, 1961 in Fort Madison.  Carolyn worked for 35 years with her husband J.D. at Business Control Systems. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends creating happy memories and gardening.

Carolyn is survived by her husband J.D.; her daughter Shelly (Stephen) Morelock of Solon; her son Bradley (Jennifer) Shaddox of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren Lindsay Morelock and Ryan Morelock; and her brothers Harold (Candy) Horn of Fort Madison, and Michael (Linda) Horn of Donnelson; a sister in laws Shirley (John) Thill of Mendota Heights, Minnesota; Carol (Ken) Knapp of Centralia, Illinois and a brother in law Jerry (Lea Ann) Shaddox of Waterloo, as well as many special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
