Bryan Robert Balog, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at The Views of Marion. Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Visitation will be one hour prior at Brosh.

Bryan was born on November 4, 1947, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Bryan) Balog. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. Bryan married Linda Oglesby on June 27, 1970, in Centerville. He worked at Caterpillar, Square D, Thomas and Betts, Oral B, and Rockwell Collins. He was an avid Boy Scouter and leader throughout his life and share his love of nature and craft with all. He enjoyed wood carving, photography, working in his machine shop and most of all spending time with his family.

Bryan is survived by his loving wife Linda; daughters Heather Balog (David Kirkland), and Erin (Robert) Kuhr; grandson Colby Kuhr; granddaughter Sydney Kirkland; his brother Bart Balog.

He was preceded in death by his parents;
