Bridget J. (Gerholdt) Maher, 45 of Solon, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday March 27, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Solon. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Solon. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar St. Bridget was born November 12, 1967 in New Hartford, IA, the daughter of James and Marilyn (Dirks) Gerholdt. She graduated from AIB in 1988 and worked for the Secretary of State Office for 13 years. She joined Goodwill Industries of Southeast Iowa in 2004 in the accounting office. Bridget's first love, after her husband Mike, was scrapbooking and stamping. Bridget was a consultant for Close To My Heart. Bridget is survived by her husband, Michael; James and Marilyn Gerholdt of Evansdale; grandmother Thelma Dirks of Grundy Center; two sisters; Anita (Dan) Frisch of Dubuque and Yvette (Matthew) Muters of Ogden, UT, nieces; Abigale and Amelia Frisch; a nephew Elias Muters and her Bassett Hound Daisy. She was preceded in death by her nephew Adyn and a niece Aline Frisch. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
