Bobbie Rhea (Elam) Travis, 93, of Western, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Hiawatha Care Center.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Shueyville Church.  Burial will be in Shueyville Cemetery.

Bobbie was born February 9, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Duncan High School, class of 1948.  Bobbie was united in marriage to Raymond Travis on November 2, 1947, in Henrietta, Texas.    She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with her family.  She enjoyed quilting, bowling, gardening and sewing. Bobbie volunteered for many years at St. Luke's Hospital.   She was a longtime member of the Shueyville United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women.

Bobbie is survived by her husband Raymond; her children Jim Travis, Gloria (John) Bohn and Sheila (Tom) Stepanek; her grandchildren Michael (Carrie) Bohn, David Bohn, Steve (Joy) Travis, Julie (Barry) Kaminski, Holly (Ryan) Rogers; her granddaughter-in-law Brittney Stepanek; ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Stephen Stepanek, daughter-in-law Linda Travis, and her three brothers.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Humane Society or to Shueyville Church in her name.
