Betty Louise Stuefen, 83 of Covington , died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at her home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 20 at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church with Reverend Brenda Peconge presiding. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery near Covington . Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Betty was born March 19, 1927 in Cedar Rapids , the daughter of Earl and Grace (Stambaugh) Seltrecht. She married S. Robert Stuefen on June 1, 1946 in Marion . Betty worked at Rockwell Collins for many years while raising her family. She was a very active member of the Church, including the Book Club, Communion Care, DUO Quilt Group, Women's Bible Study, Adult Sunday School as well as loving to sing in the Choir. Betty enjoyed fishing, mowing, camping, Boggle and board games, listening and playing music with her family. She loved spending time with her family including all the grandkids' activities.

Betty is survived by her children Kelly (Terry) Moritz and Stephanie (Terry) Lange all of Cedar Rapids; a daughter in law Connie Stuefen of Covington; grandchildren Allen, Brian, Greg, Amanda, Sarah, Adam, Kyle, August, and Parker; fourteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandsons; a brother Earl (Pat) Seltrecht and a sister Darlene (Lester) Stuefen all of Covington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons Neal Stuefen and Marshall Stuefen; and a daughter Debbie Castleberry Largeteau.
