Betty Jane Croy, 90, of Solon, died June 22, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.   Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church in Cedar Rapids, located at 525 A Avenue NE.   Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Solon.  There will be a luncheon immediately following the committal at The Avacentre in Solon, 100 South Cedar Street, lower lowel.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon are in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born December 1, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Joseph V. and Frances A. (Becicka) Shramek.  She graduated from Cedar Rapids Wilson High School. Betty was united in marriage to Wayne Croy on February 10, 1951, in Cedar Rapids.  She was a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church in Cedar Rapids, where she involved in the Altar Guild.  Betty was involved with the PTA at Hayes Elementary, Solon Garden Club, Friends of the Solon Library, Landscape Committee in Solon and the Solon American Legion Women's Auxiliary.  She enjoyed watching birds, traveling, gardening, baking, and most of all spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her husband Wayne; children Bruce Croy (Candy Gilespie), Barbara (Greg Nelsen) Croy, Jeff (Leslie) Croy and Joseph (Zee) Croy; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ann (Robert) Roggentien.
