Bernice "Bee" Leidich, 87 of Solon, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Solon Retirement Village.  Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery in Solon.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Brosh Chapel.

Bernice was born March 11, 1928 in rural Ely, the daughter of Thomas and Rose (Mrstik) Mackey.  She married William Leidich on February 21, 1946 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Bill and Bee farmed nearly their full married life together in the Sandy Beach area, until retiring in 2006.

Bee is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; sisters-in-law Virginia Mackey and Veronica Mackey, as well as many great friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, who died April 10, 2012, her siblings Phyllis Mackey, Pauline (Joseph) Becicka, Robert Mackey,Dave Mackey, and Ruth (Gilbert) Kinzey.

Memorials may be directed to the Johnson County Cattlemens Club.
