Barbara Ann Proctor, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Clemons.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are caring for Barbara's arrangements.

Barbara was born May 7, 1934 in Clemons, the daughter of Glen and Florence (Johnson) Bartholmew.  She graduated from Clemons High School, class of 1952.  She later attended AIB College in Des Moines.  Barbara was united in marriage to Max Proctor on June 24, 1956, in Clemons.  She worked as a secretary at Peoples Bank and Trust, Franklin Junior High School, Board of Education, Grant Wood AEA for many years.  She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, were she served as a Ruling Elder and Session, as well as being involved in the Birthday Club.  Family life was the most important thing, as she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Max; her daughter Beth Proctor and her son Tim Proctor both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren Jordan Lee Proctor and Laura Mae Beth Proctor; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Lloyd (Rita) Bartholmew.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name.
