Barbara "Barb" Jo Edwards,76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on February 11, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family.  A Celebration of life gathering will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Barb was born on July 21, 1947, in Dysart Iowa, the daughter Loren and Irma (Chandler) Frederick.  She graduated from Dysart High School class of 1965.  After graduation Barb worked different jobs until she began her long-time career at Whirlpool. She was blessed with her first son Matt in 1967.  Barb was united in marriage to Tim Edwards on July 28, 1985, Las Vegas.  Their son Nick was born in 1986.

Barb spent her free time camping and traveling to many different parks until she and Tim made their second home in Casa Grande, Arizona in 2017. They made several great friends while living there, partaking in all her favorite activities, and of course cheering on both Iowa and Iowa State sports. She very much enjoyed challenging anyone to a game of euchre as well as going to different casinos to try her luck on the machines! Nana also never missed a chance to spoil her grand dog's.  Barb will be remembered for her uncanny ability to bring contagious laughter to every situation and find joy in all the simple things.

Barb is survived by her husband Tim; her children Nick (Monica) Edwards of Solon, Matt Kahler of Cedar Rapids, long time family friends Jeff and Dawn Bair of Solon, their children Delaney and Brayton; brother-in-law Larry "Butch" Keese; along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, sister Betty Keese, mother and father-in law Merlyn and Marian Edwards, brother-in law Tom Edwards, special family members Laura and Braden Brown.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
