Barbara Ann (Krouse) Clark of Toddville passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 12, 2024. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Toddville Free Methodist Church. Celebration of Life services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the church with burial to follow in Dunkard Cemetery, Midway. Born February 23, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois. She married Albert "Jack" Clark who preceded her in death along with her parents Anna and Arthur Krouse, and her brother Roland.
She was an active member of Cedar Christian Church (80 years). She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve (60 years), and Toddville American Legion (45 years). She taught in a one room school in Scott County in the early 50s. She was a volunteer fire fighter with Monroe Township for 15 years. Barbara was also a substitute school bus driver for Alburnett. She traveled often and went to Europe with her father and took elder hostel trips to crew a large sailboat and also went white water rafting. Barbara was distinguished by her strong will and generosity. Her chicken noodle soup was legendary as was her peanut brittle. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Barbara is survived by her brother Chuck of Virginia, and her three children Angel (Brian) Burba, Melanie Clark, and Ronald Clark, she has two grandchildren, Austin Clark and Phillip Burba, and two great grandchildren Corey and Peyton.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
