Barbara Joyce Berry, 84 of Ely, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Living Center West. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW, with Reverend Julie Schuett presiding. Burial will be in First Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Ely. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Brosh Chapel. Barbara was born December 11, 1930 in , the daughter of Harold and Edna (Willie) Hartley. She married Osmond "Ozzie" Berry Jr. on April 25, 1950 in Cedar Rapids. Barbara worked for over 32 years with College Community Schools until retiring in 1992. She loved roller skating, traveling, playing bingo, Skipbo, crossword puzzles, reading, attending grandchildren's events, and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Judy (James Sr.) Serbousek of Cedar Rapids and Janet Berry of Marion; daughter-in-law, Lori Berry of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren Jason (Donelle) Mullin, James (Lara) Serbousek Jr., Jaydon (Flory) Serbousek, Jeri (Casey) Holst, Ryan (Amy) Barta, Mathew (Nicole) Berry and Michael Boyens; thirteen great-grandchildren; Jordan Orendorf, Rylie Mullin, Sydney Hoffmann, Kamren and Rosalee Serbousek, Katherine Bustillo, Jessenia Serbousek, Tyler and Caleb Holst, Cody Moeller(Chelsey), Dalton Moeller, Aubrey Barta, and Ashley Berry; one great-great-grandson Brayton Moeller; step-mother Mildred Hartley of Iowa City; sister Linda (Darrell) Flinn of Iowa City; brother Alan Glad (Becky Williams) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tom (Sue) Hartley of Minneapolis, Minnesota; brother-in-law Bill (Lavonda) Barnhart of Punta Gorda, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ozzie on September 26, 2011 and her son Steven Berry, her brother Gerald Hartley, and her brother-in-law Bob Cook, sister-in-laws Catherine Barnhart, Charlotte (Bud) Reinheimer and Caroline (Donald) Stewart.
