Barbara Uridil Zahradnik, 66, of Shueyville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family.   Private family Celebration of Life services will be Monday, December 14, 2020.  The services will be recorded and a link will be available on Tuesday on her obituary page at www.broshchapel.com.   Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Public visitation will be from 12 to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.   The family requests that everyone attending to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Barbara was born March 23, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Yale and Lucille (Humphrey) Uridil.  She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School, class of 1972.  Barb was united in marriage to Carl Zahradnik on June 14, 1980 at First Presbyterian Church near Ely.   Barb worked as an office manager for over 30 years at Skogman Realty.   She enjoyed cooking, baking, tending to flowers, watching birds, and most of all spending time with her loving family, especially the grandchildren.  Barb was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church near Ely.

Barb is survived by her husband, Carl; her children Mark (Jennifer) Zahradnik of Belle Plaine,  Sean (Tina) Vogt of Watkins, Janette (Bradley) Beer of Cedar Rapids and Darla (Shane) Meyer of Walford; grandchildren Brandon and Tegan Vogt, Meredith and Lydia Beer, Samantha and Alexandra Zahradnik, Alivia, Nate (Taylor) and Corey Meyer; her brother Craig Uridil of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; her brothers-in-law Bob Zahradnik and Norm (Terry) Zahradnik both of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law Rae Ellen Zahradnik of Cedar Rapids; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Brandon Vogt and her sister Marcia Kay.

Memorials may be directed to either Camp Courageous, Hospice of Mercy, or to the donor's choice of charity.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ann Stroh and her amazing staff as well as the nurses at Hall Perrine, and Hospice of Mercy who took great care of Barb throughout her journey.
