Barbara Jean Obadal, 86, of Swisher, died Friday, December 24, 2021, in her home. Celebration of Life gathering will be from 12-2p.m. on January 15, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Private family inurnment will be in Blain Cemetery near Swisher.
Barbara was born August 19, 1935, in Vinton, the daughter of Wayne and Irene (Minkel) Kelley. Barb was united in marriage to Raymond Carold Bryant in 1951. To this union, they had four children. Raymond died in 1962. She was united in marriage to Ernest Obadal in 1967. Barb enjoyed bowling, gardening, feed and watching birds, raising her dogs, and most of all spending time with her family.
Barb is survived by her children Russell (Lori) Bryant, Edwin Bryant, Bonnie Obadal; Ernie's children Darrel (Cheri) Obadal, Cheryl Skala, Carol Obadal (Terry Stammeyer) Gary Obadal, and David Obadal; grandchildren Robyn Obadal, Shari (Jim) Ross, Shane (Cathy) Skala, Jill (Ben) Sampica, Louis (Heather) Obadal, Jeffrey (Sheena) Obadal, Zach (Katie) Bryant and Liz (Mark) McDermott, several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her siblings Deborah Roney, Donna Cook, Dwayne Kelley, Charles Kelley; a brother-in-law Richard Obadal; sister-in-law Betty (Jim) Forrest; as well as his nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernie, her son Morris Bryant, grandson Jamie Jones, and her siblings Beverly Conkling, Patricia Heidemann, Joyce Olsen, Jim Kelley, John Kelley, Dick Kelley, Mary Kelley
