Arlene L. Stratton, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 in her home. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Cedar Valley Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 2204 26th Street NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52405. Private family burial will be in Czech National Cemetery.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is handling Arlene's arrangements.

Arlene was born July 23, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Eugene and Lenora (Kephart) Spooner.  She married Harry Edwin Stratton on September 1, 1946 in Cedar Rapids.  Arlene enjoyed gardening and sewing doll clothing for American Girl Dolls, Cabbage Patch dolls and Barbies.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Cherri Arlene Baird of Rosenberg, Texas; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and great-great-children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; daughter, Penny Montgomery; and her siblings.
