Arlene L. Galloway, 80 of Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will follow in Rogers Grove Cemetery near Ely. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Brosh Chapel. Arlene was born May 4, 1933 in Lisbon, the daughter of William A. and Freida D. (Kriepke) Feuss. She married William Galloway on October 18, 1951 in Troy, Missouri. Arlene worked for Nash Finch, FMC Linkbelt Speeder, Cryovac and retired from Job Service of Iowa in 1996. She enjoyed camping in her early years, cross-stitching, gardening, playing the keyboard, and spending time with her family. Arlene is survived by her children, Nancy Newenham of Lisbon, James Galloway (Dale Vargason) of Marion, and Bill (Deb) Galloway Jr. of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren Andrew, Jason and Megan Galloway all of Cedar Rapids; one great-grandchildren; and her brother William Feuss of Lisbon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William on May 23, 2012, a son-in-law Duane Newenham, siblings Darlene Short, Arnita Feuss, Edward, Arthur, Raymond, Elmer, Verney, and Henry Feuss. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to family.
