Antesio Deshon Turner-Sykes, 33, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Cedar Rapids.

Antesio was born on June 20, 1992, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Brandy Turner and David Sykes. From the moment he entered this world, he brought joy, laughter, and a vibrant spirit to those around him. Antesio was known for his kind heart, deep love for his family, and the way he connected with others. He had a spirit that drew people in and friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Antesio loved the Lord and often sought God for guidance and strength. His faith was an important part of his life, and he leaned on it during difficult times. Those who knew him remember his warmth, his strength, his sense of humor, and the genuine care he showed for others.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert D Turner; Grandmother Kathy Lucas; father, David Sykes, his uncle Christopher Sykes, and his beloved cousin Christian (Quisey) Marquise Cungtion.

Antesio leaves to cherish his loving memory his grandmother, Bertha Sykes; his mother, Brandy Turner; his aunt, Sonya Sykes; and his stepmother, Karen Sykes. He is also survived by his siblings, Terrell Sykes, Tierrah Cross, Felicia Turner, Tom Maide Jr., Isaiah Turner, Dakota Mateo, Esperanza Gray, ArMonte Carlton, and Allie Carlton.

In addition, Antesio leaves behind many loving aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his presence and who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Brosh Chapel, 2121 Bowling Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Antesio's life, share memories, and support one another during this difficult time.

The repast will be from 3 pm-6pm following visitation at the Toddville Legion hall at 3275 Otter Rd Toddville, IA 52341
