Anne E. Candler, 83 of Cedar Rapids died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Manor Care from natural causes.  Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Barb Furman presiding.  Burial will follow in Rogers Grove Cemetery rural Ely.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, and for an hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Anne was born June 19, 1923 near Fairfax the daughter of Frank and Anna Setlik Zach.  She married Walter Candler February 14, 1946 in Solon. Anne was a housekeeper and worked in the laundry department at Mercy Hospital.  She enjoyed the aspects of farm life.    She was a member of Mission of Hope Church.

Anne is survived by her daughter Carol Candler of Cedar Rapids; son Ken (Carla) Candler of Arizona; two granddaughters Kate Candler of Arizona and Carey Barta of Colorado; one great-grandson Sean Barta of Colorado; sister Tillie Burns of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law Leora Brose of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Walter who died March 7, 1989 and two brothers Adolph and Frank.
