Anna Agnes Hanson, 98 of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center.  As per Anna's wishes Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at Czech National Cemetery.  Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangments.

Anna was born February 1, 1911 near Solon, the daughter of John and Annie Vanourny  Zakostelecky.  She graduated from Iowa University High School and went on to attend classes at Coe College and the University of Iowa.  Anna received an Elementary School Certificate to teach in Johnson County.  She married George R. Hanson on June 5, 1935 and together they operated and lived on their farm near Solon.  Anna retired in 1956 after teaching in several schools.

Anna is survived by her a sister Evelyn Ogle of Bainbridge Island, Washington and a nephew John Ogle of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George on August 9, 1983;  a sister Velma Zakostelecky, a brother John Zakostelecky and a niece Lorri Ogle.
