They lived in Amoret, Missouri until 1936 when they moved to Solon, Iowa with their two daughters Marjorie Lee and Donna Jean. Alice and Tilford celebrated 64 years together before his death in 1991.
Alice loved simple things in life. When she was able, she loved to garden – especially flowers. Her yard was always in full bloom from spring to fall. Her dahlias and roses were her pride and joy. She also loved music and dancing. From Big Bands to Polkas, from the Charleston to the Waltz, if she wasn't singing she was dancing. But most of all, she loved and lived for her family. Although she was blessed with only two daughters, they provided her with fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, one step great-great grandchild and a lifetime of joy and happiness.
Alice is survived by her daughters Marjorie Lamansky of Coralville and Donna and her husband Ronnie Worrell of Solon; her grandchildren Craig, Neil, and Brian Lamansky, Jill Sparks, Vikki (Michael) Bell, Lynn (Monica) Worrell, Brad (Nancy) Worrell, Terese (Bob) Lisenbee, Renee (Doug) Ossman, Kevin (Rene) Worrell, Lisa (Roger) Diltz, Carla (Dan) Garrett, Dawn Worrell, and Chad (Sandra) Worrell; her great grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren.
