Alfred John Worrell, 97, of West Branch, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, in his home wood shop, doing what he enjoyed, from natural causes. Private family Celebration of Life services will be at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon. Burial will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery Nolan Settlement. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Alfred was born December 14, 1923, near Cedar Bluff, the son of Fred and Mildred (Ciha) Worrell. He was united in marriage to Darlene "Honey" Woode on June 9, 1947, at St. Bridget's Church of Nolan Settlement. Al farmed in the Cedar Bluff area all his life. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, telling stories, raising cacti, watching the Hawkeyes and Cubs, and Sunday dinners with the family in his home.
Alfred is survived by his children; his sons, Bradley and Scott (Cindy); his daughters, Linda (Bill) Mysak, and Teresa (George) Waters; his grandchildren, Missi, Jacob, Lindsey, Justin, Jason, Josh, Chelsee, Kilee, Ashley, Clay, Jessi, Amanda, Samantha, and Stephanie; and his many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Darlene, who died September 12, 2008, son Mark Worrell, his daughter-in-law Rosene Worrell, grandson Brandon Supple, and his two sisters.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
