Alfred Leon Gould, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 27, 2023, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.  Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Alfred was born January 22, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the son of William H. and Leona L. (Blake) Gould.  He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. Alfred was united in marriage to Pamela Schultz on August 19, 1961, in Cedar Rapids.  He worked for over twenty years at Harnischfeger until retiring.   Alfred enjoyed fishing, working on cars and on computers, and most of all spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Alfred is survived by his wife Pamela; children Karin Stoneking, Douglas (Jei) Gould, Michael (Ronda) Gould and Kathleen Gould; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Duretta (Oscar) Peterson, and three brothers William, Gerald and Riley Mullin.

Memorials may be directed to either Mercy Caregivers or to Hospice of Mercy in his name.
