Agnes Netolicky, 92 of Fairfax, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Country View Senior Living in North Liberty. Celebration of life services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at Brosh Chapel.
Agnes was born November 8, 1924 on the family farm near Fairfax, the daughter of Emil and Amalie (Rohlena) Cech. She graduated from Walford High School in 1942. Agnes was united in marriage to Robert Netolicky on November 16, 1948 at the First Bohemian and Moravian Church near Ely. She worked at Wenkstern Hasley, Quaker Oats, and Montgomery Wards. Agnes played accordion in the Leonard Reyman Band in 1944. Robert and Agnes farmed together for many years near Fairfax. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, dancing, baking kolaches and donuts and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Agnes is survived by her husband Robert: children Ron Netolicky of Cedar Rapids and Sandra (Dave) Wohlner of California; two grandchildren Danny and Sarah Wohlner.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials to the family will be directed to the Joseph Wohlner Memorial Fund.
