Adelene Lydia Klouda, 96, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Luke's Living Center East. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday October 22, 2012 at St. Ludmila Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m., with a vigil service starting at 7 p.m., Sunday October 21, 2012 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Adelene was born February 14, 1916 in North Liberty, the daughter of Mike and Tillie (Kadera) Machula. She married George J. Klouda on August 18, 1936 in Cedar Rapids. She loved traveling and dancing with her husband, playing cards with friends and doing word search puzzles. Adelene always had a smile on her face when the grandchildren came over to see her. Adelene is survived by her children, Kenneth (Martha) Klouda of Coggon and Cliff (Karen) Klouda of Cedar Rapids, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Adelene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Klouda on April 19, 2000; a son Raymond, a sister Alice Pospisil and an infant sister Wilma. Memorials may be directed to the family.
