Abigail Lynn Walters, 61, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Marion, died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital.   Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2020, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW, with inurnment to follow in Czech National Cemetery. Abigail was born September 16, 1958, in Mason City, the daughter of Leona (Cooper) and George Smith.  She is survived by her daughters Torrie Kyrene Walters and Danniell Krista Walters; her former husband Bret Allen Walters; three grandchildren; Kamren, Dontavious and Kimora; her sister Teresa (Bryan) McLeod and her brother Grant (Tammy) Smith, as well as a close friend Rick Heeren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Roy Walters and her parents, Leona & George Smith.

Abbe grew up in rural Marion, where she was active in 4-H and showing horses.  She loved her grandchildren, animals... and especially her exotic birds and Afghan hounds. She was a very well known, highly successful master cosmetologist and owner of The Hair Show in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years.  She had a personal connection to all of her clients, and loved all things hair and beauty! She was an amazing woman with a huge heart, had a beautiful family and so many friends and clients and people who knew and loved her. She was taken way too soon and she will never be forgotten.
