Brosh Chapel - Cremation

Brosh Chapel Cremation ServicesCremation has become a popular method of disposition in the last decade.  It is important for families choosing cremation to be informed of the options available when planning a funeral service.  Brosh Chapel offers various options for funeral services for families choosing cremation.

Visitation and Funeral Service: This option consists of a family and public viewing of the body in a casket during a designated time period.  A funeral service takes place the next day in a church of a religious affiliation or at the chapel.  At the completion of the service, the body is taken to the crematory.

Private Visitation and Funeral Service:  This cremation option is a visitation and funeral service that is private for family and open to close friends invited by the family.  This visitation and funeral service is not open for the public to attend.

Memorial Service: This option may include the cremated remains of the deceased in an urn present at the visitation and memorial service.  The visitation is usually held at the chapel during designated times.  The memorial service can be held in a church of religious affiliation or at the chapel.

Direct Cremation involves the funeral directors taking the deceased from the place of death to the crematory.  For a direct cremation there is no embalming, public viewing of the body, or funeral service.

Disposition of Cremated Remains
Families may choose to do what they wish with cremated remains with respect to the laws of the state.  Some families choose to place the remains in an urn to display in their home, in a grave with or without an urn vault, or in a mausoleum.  Families have also scattered the remains in a significant area or place that was special to the deceased.

Brosh Chapel strives to create personalized memorial or funeral services. It is important that the visitation and funeral/memorial service represents the life that was lived. We invite families to assist us in creating services that are unique and personal to the deceased. We encourage families to do this by bringing in photographs and/or memorabilia of their family for the visitation. Families are also given the option of creating a Personalized Video Tribute. Videos are a beautiful memorial to remember the life of your loved one.   We provide memory boards and tables for families to display special items for the visitation and/or funeral service if permitted.
